Bones Season Premiere

Okay, I watched the Bones season premiere last  night, having Divo'd it.  Although both hours were filmed in England, frankly it could've been done here with the many Brit actors trawling through Hollywood and some special filming effects.  It was nice to see the actor who once played in Dempsey and Makepeace, but that wasn't a big enough part for his scene-chewing style of acting.

The best parts were the sparks between Booth and Temperance as well as the mention of Zac in Bones' speech to her British counterparts' students.  I thought it was cute the way Booth was sleeping through her speech and being rudely awakened by her shout.  The episode was clearly two separate hour episodes stuck together simply due to the location and the side characters.

I was tickled by Sweets and how he made a bad situation worse with his advice.  I wasn't happy with the way Angela reacted to the situation between her husband and Cam, including breaking up with Hodges.  She said that Hodges' didn't try and stop her from walking away, but if he had, she would've be even more upset.  Talk about a no-win situation for Jack!

So while I wasn't exactly bored, I expected more and better from a two hour special season opening.  I hope it gets better.  Going into a fourth season can be a killer for some series.  Let's hope that it isn't true for Bones.
